Six Classic James Bond Movies on Blu-ray for $54.94

I'll take 3 Connerys, 2 Moores and a Brosnan.
If you're a Bond fan who has not been living under a rock for a few years, you probably know that all twenty of the original (pre-Daniel Craig) James Bond films were recently lovingly remastered for High Definition and six of these films have been released on Blu-ray Disc.  The films are available individually, or as three-packs or as a special six-pack on Amazon.com.

Well forget about the $210 list price of all six films (6 x $34.98).  Forget even the $108 discounted price of the six-pack on Amazon.com.  Now with a *NEW* Amazon Blu-ray promotion, you can take home all six of these classic films on Blu-ray for $54.94!  Here's how you do it.

Update: Offer expired on 12/7/2008

First Go Here:

Then select the check-boxes for all six of the Bond Blu-ray Discs and click "add to cart."  Proceed to check-out and don't forget to select "Super Saver Shipping" (or Prime shipping if you're an Amazon Prime customer).

You will get the $50 Blu-ray promotional discount applied to your cart. And you'll take home all six classic 007 films in high definition for $54.94 (plus tax in NY and Washington).  Please note that Amazon could alter or discontinue this promotion at any time.

There are other titles included in the promotion as well.  Technically you could buy more and save more (buy three discs, save $20, buy six, save $50, buy ten, save $100).  a 10-disc purchase brings the per-disc cost to about $7.49! per Blu-ray Disc.  But if you're looking to add some high definition James Bond films for your collection, then it's hard to do any better than this.

If you're in the market for a player, then you can get even more titles at a discount with Amazon's latest promotion.  With this offer, you can buy one of a number of players (including high-end players from Panasonic, LG, Denon, Onkyo, etc.), plus 4 Warner titles on Blu-ray and get $75 off your order instantly:

And now back to Bond...

In addition to the frame-by-frame digital restoration of the picture, the Bond films have been given a sonic makeover as well, with each movie being remixed from the original audio tracks to 5.1-channel surround sound, delivered on Blu-ray Disc in DTS-HD Master Audio lossless surround. This adds a level of immersive realism that simply wasn't available in the early Bond films with their mono soundtracks. Of course, purists will be happy to hear that the original mono or stereo soundtracks are also available on each title.

Enjoy your Bond!

Compatibility Issues:

Some people are reporting playback problems with certain Bond titles on Blu-ray.  Specifically the Samsung BDP-1500 player and LG BH200 players have (or may have had) problems playing some of these new Bond Discs.  Please check the Bond Blu-ray Player Compatibility thread in our forum for more details and to report your results.
