By Chris Boylan
Looking for the 2006/2007 Oscar Winners? You'll find them here: 2006 Oscar Winners.

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA, MARCH 5, 2006. Presenting the 78th Annual Academy Awards, for motion pictures released in 2005. The broadcast from ABC was presented in glorious HDTV, with phenomenal video and audio quality in full Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. Although sometimes the mixing choices were a bit odd - no sound from the main left/right channels in the intro and a little too much audience in the mix, perhaps? And what is up with the music running underneath the acceptance speeches? Hello?

In any case, Big Picture Big Sound is pleased to bring you the Oscar winners in real-time, as they are announced. Reload or refresh this Web page as the evening progresses to find out who won LIVE.

Total Running Time this year was: 3:33:29 (hours:minutes:seconds).
