If you're scouring for big-name brands at small prices, you could be missing out on a very good deal. Amazon is offering TCL's 40-inch L40FHDF LCD HDTV for just $399.98 $429.98, which also includes free shipping. Find it here:

As we pointed out a little earlier, TCL is not a cable network. It's a company that also goes by the name The Creative Life. It may not be very well known in the U.S., but it's a big deal in Asia. The company is certainly making a name for itself with customers outside of Asia, though. TCL currently has the top seller on Amazon, thanks to a few killer Black Friday prices.

This 40-incher features a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which means it's a full 1080p HDTV. Other features include a 3-D Y/C digital comb filter, 178-degree viewing angles, and a rated brightness of 400 cd/m².

If you want to add in other A/V components, this set can certainly oblige. The L40FHDF has three HDMI ports (two rear and one side), two composite and one component input, as well as one RF, one PC, a PC audio, and a side USB 2.0 port. There are also various audio options, with a jack for headphones, an analog audio output, and a coaxial digital audio output.

TCL's L40FHDF is covered by a 2-year limited warranty, as well as Amazon's 30-day TV return policy. Since this is such a hot seller, you might want to get one (or two) of these soon, before Amazon sells out of its stock.
