Cyber Monday HDTV Deals: Great Prices on Plasma, LED/LCD HDTVs

By Rachel Cericola

Black Friday 2012 is a distant, foggy memory. Did you get a great deal this year? Yes, they were out there. However, many of them went pretty fast. If you were in a turkey haze, you probably didn't have the motivation to head out to stores. Thankfully, Cyber Monday is almost here to celebrate your sloth -- and offer great discounts that you can snag without having to leave the house.  In fact, some of these are already live on TigerDirect's web site.

Yes, TigerDirect is back at it again, with a whole new crop of great HDTV deals. According to the online retailer's initial announcement, there are plasmas and LEDs in all sorts of sizes, with a variety of features. There are even a few bundles that you may want to purchase, before those deals are gone.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of these prices will go live at midnight tonight (12:00 AM on Sunday night/Monday morning) so we'd recommend putting one in your cart, and checking the price at 12:01 AM!

One of our absolute favorites is the Samsung 55-inch UN55ES6580 1080p 3D LED HDTV. TigerDirect is going to be knocking about $400 off this set, making it $1297.99 -- and the lowest we've seen on this model so far. And this is not some budget loss leader, but a feature packed flat panel from the world's #1 HDTV maker. It has active 3D technology, which can deliver a full 1080p HD image in both 2D and 3D. You can even test out some of those in-your-face features right out of the box, since this set comes packing four pairs of 3D glasses. Other features include built-in WiFi and plenty of web streaming options via Netflix, Facebook, YouTube, Pandora, and much more. This model even taps into Skype, which you can also do right away, since this purchase comes with a web camera. Find out more about the set on TigerDirect's product page (and remember, some prices will go live at midnight Sunday night/Monday morning):

UPDATE: This is live as of 2:27 AM Eastern Time on Monday 11/26:

If you're looking for something a little less expensive, TigerDirect is packaging up the LG 42-inch 42LM3700 1080p 3D LED HDTV with four pairs of 3D glasses and a soundbar, all for $499.99. This is one of LG's Cinema 3D TVs, so it will do 1080p in 2D only. However, it does boast a bright, comfy viewing experience, thanks to those lightweight 3D glasses. Other features include Direct LED technology, the Triple XD processor, two HDMI inputs and one USB port. Of course, this setup should also have better sound that your typical HDTV, thanks to the inclusion of a 2-channel, 40-watt soundbar. Find out more about this package on TigerDirect's product page:

Similar to Black Friday, TigerDirect is expecting to have a ton of great Cyber Monday deals. Just don't get discouraged if the site is slow (it had a few issues on Friday); these discounts are worth the wait! Also know that these sale prices are expected to go live at midnight and last through Monday, November 26, 2012. However, the stock is limited, so if you see a deal that you like, you'd better snag it before TigerDirect sells out!
