Cyber Monday 4K UHD TV Deals: Samsung 65-inch LED Ultra HDTV: $2299.99 (UN65HU8550)

By Chris Boylan

When our own David Birch-Jones reviewed Samsung's HU8550 4K Ultra HD TV earlier this month, he rated it "Excellent" (3.5 out of 4 stars). If you're looking for a high quality 4K Ultra HD picture, it's hard to go wrong with the HU8550, particularly in the 65-inch size. And Best Buy has gone early today with a Cyber Monday UHD TV deal. They're offering the 65-inch set for $2299.99 with free shipping (save $1,200) and the 55-inch version (UN55HU8550) for $1499.99 (save $1,000). Here are the links:

In addition to its 4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels), the HU8550 is also a full-fledged "Smart TV" featuring Samsung's Smart Hub app and streaming platform. The on-board Netflix app offers native 4K resolution so 4K shows like "House of Cards" and "Breaking Bad" look exceptionally crisp and detailed. Also, its HDMI ports all support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 so you can connect current and future 4K source components that will take full advantage of the panel's 4K capabilities.

And if you're concerned about future compatibility and upgradeability, the HU8550 includes a Samsung "OneConnect" port which can accept a future Samsung OneConnect box with upgraded processing at some point in the future. It's like getting a brand new TV without having to buy a brand new TV.

If you're looking for something even bigger, then check out the 75-inch - or 85-inchversions which are also on sale for Cyber Monday.
