Criterion Collection Blu-ray and DVD Movies on Sale for 50 Percent Off

By Rachel Cericola

Need a few stocking stuffers? Instead of rummaging through the bargain bin for $5 movies no one wants to see, you can actually buy good movies on Blu-ray and DVD for cheap. Can you imagine that?

Barnes & Noble can, which is why they are currently offering 50 percent off selections from the Criterion Collection. Known for its selective collection of important or ground-breaking films, the Criterion Collection surely features something for everyone on your shopping list. Check out the full collection of Blu-ray Discs and DVDs on sale here:

The list of Criterion films can be daunting. If you're in need of a few suggestions, check out our recent Blu-ray reviews for Seven Samurai, Charade, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, and Paths of Glory.

Of course, there are many other titles to choose from. At these prices, it's well worth spending some time going through the list. Both Blu-rays and DVDs are currently on sale. According to the site, if you spend $25, you can also score free shipping, which makes holiday shopping that much easier.

It may take some time to go through the hundreds of titles on sale (and don't forget the box sets!). Better act quickly, though; the sale only lasts through November 21, 2010.
