LG Offers Free 3D Glasses and Movie with 3D TV and Blu-ray 3D Player Purchase

By Rachel Cericola

Hooray for freebies! They always put a little smile on our faces and sometimes help us make tough decisions. For instance, if you are on the fence about whether or not to upgrade to a 3D TV, LG wants to help sway your decision.

Right now when you buy select LG 3D TVs and the LG BX580 Blu-ray 3D player, LG will give you two pairs of active shutter 3D glasses as well as a coupon to redeem the 3D movie IMAX Under the Sea 3D. Check out the details on this offer here:

The two 3D HDTVs eligible for this deal are LED models from the LX6500 series. Both of the TVs feature a full 3D 1080p image, TruMotion 240Hz technology, a rated 8,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and ISFccc calibration features. A few other interesting setup perks include Intelligent Sensor and the Picture Wizard, which help guide you to the best image based on your room's conditions.

Each unit also features built-in Wi-Fi. This is a nice feature, considering both units can tap into NetCast. This is LG's own online entertainment service, which can deliver instant access to Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, VUDU, and other content partners.

Click on your TV of choice, the Blu-ray player and the glasses. Your savings will be reflected before you checkout. You'll have to send in a rebate form to the get the movie by mail. Better act quickly though; the offer is good on purchases made through July 28, 2010 -- or while supplies last.
