Black Friday Home Theater Deal: Big Discounts on Aperion Audio Intimus, Verus Speakers

By Rachel Cericola

We're getting ready to embark on one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year. However, not everyone is offering great discounts and some you can actually find all year long. That's what makes our next deal so special.

Aperion Audio just announced plans to discount some of its popular speaker packages. You don't know how truly awesome this is. The direct-to-consumer loudspeaker company rarely slashes its prices, so you're going to want to take a peek at which packages the company is discounting -- and for how long.

Starting now, the company is cutting prices on three different home theater speaker packages. This sale will run through Monday, November 26, 2012. However, don't even think about waiting until that second (or third!) round of pie before buying up a little something, because once the company's limited stock is gone, so are the discounts!

First up is the Intimus 4C 5.0 Home Theater System. This package includes five Intimus 4C Speakers for $121 off the usual price. This speaker packs a 1-inch silk tweeter and 4-inch woven-fiberglass mid-woofers into an anti-resonant cabinet. It should also work pretty nicely in just about any decor, thanks to contoured front edges, a small form factor, and a choice of cherry wood or black ash finishes.

If you're looking for something that can also add a little boom into your room, the Intimus 5B Harmony SA Home Theater System comes with the very popular, very powerful Bravus 8A subwoofer. That slick cube has an 8-inch high-excursion custom aluminum driver, a 100-watt class A/B amplifier and a 40-160Hz customizable crossover.

Of course, that sub is part of a larger package -- a very nice package. This set also comes with four of the 5B Bookshelf speakers and the 5C Center Channel. The 5Bs each have a 5.25-inch woven-fiberglass woofer and a 1-inch custom designed silk-dome tweeter. That 5C adds in a 4-inch woven mid-woofer in a vertical array.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the Verus Forte Tower HD 5.1 Home Theater System with the Bravus II 10D. This is for people that want big sound in a smaller space. Designed for small and medium rooms, this setup includes a pair of Verus Forte Tower Speakers, the Verus Forte Center, a pair of Verus Forte Bookshelf Speakers, and the Bravus II 10D Subwoofer.

Aperion's Verus Forte Tower features a 3-way, ported, curved cabinet, with a 1-inch ASR tweeter, a 4.25-inch mid-range driver, and two 4.25-inch woofers. The 2-way Verus Forte Bookshelf has one 4.25-inch Aperion PhaseSync Driver with the integrated ASR tweeter. That 3-way Verus Forte Center Channel includes the same Aperion PhaseSync Driver/ASR tweeter, with one 4.25-inch woofer and one 4.25-inch passive radiator. Rounding out the package is the Bravus II 10D Subwoofer, which has a single down-firing active 10-inch aluminum driver, a pair of side-firing 10-inch aluminum passive radiators, and a 400-watt BASH amplifier.
