New York, NY - November 8, 2006 - CyberLink Corp., a world leader in digital home solutions, today announced CyberLink MagicSports 3 and CyberLink PowerDVD 7 both received top honors as honorees in the Home Theater Accessories category of the International CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards.

Products entered in this awards program are judged by a panel of independent industrial designers, engineers, and members of the trade press, to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products.

CyberLink MagicSports 3 creates a category of its own. MagicSports is based on CyberLink's video analysis technologies that intelligently analyze recorded Baseball or Soccer games and extract the most exciting moments from each game. For sports fanatics, MagicSports offers an unprecedented way to watch TV sports programs.

Belinda Banks of SSPR is all smiles showing off Cyberlink's MagicSports and PowerDVD 7 software at the "CES Unveiled" press preview in New York.
CyberLink PowerDVD 7 delivers an innovative multimedia experience for desktop and notebook computer users with smart features like "Say-it-Again", "Read-it-Clearly" and "See-it-all", which are not found in other software or consumer DVD players.

"With 10 years experience in developing consumer software based on leading video technologies, we're extremely proud to have CyberLink MagicSports 3 and PowerDVD 7 recognized for their product innovations," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "Innovation is one of CyberLink's core values and we are excited to see our efforts receive the highest recognition."

The awards are sponsored by CEA, the producer of the International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). Entries are judged on the following criteria:
  • Engineering qualities of the product, including technical specifications and materials used
  • The product's intended use/function and user value
  • Aesthetic and design qualities (using visuals provided)
  • Unique and novel features
  • Contributions to consumers' quality of life
  • Impact on the manufacturer's business model
