Toshiba to Reward eco-Friendly Schools with Green Laptops, LED TVs and Lightbulbs

By Rachel Cericola

Think you're too cool for school? Maybe it would seem a lot cooler if it were a little greener.

Toshiba would like to help with that by inviting students, parents and teachers to enter the Go Green Giveaway. The manufacturer will choose one lucky winner, and give their class an L635 kid-friendly laptop. Also, teachers will be very interested in this contest, since that same winner will also get oneĀ NB305 netbook for the teacher. Both of those computers are in green, of course! The class will also get a 32-inch SLV411U LED/DVD combo, which has a full 1080p HD image, energy-saving LED technology, and a built-in DVD player. Rounding out the prize package will be 10 (ten) A-19 LED lightbulbs.

Just go to the Toshiba Innovation Facebook page and click on the Go Green Giveaway tab. From there you'll need to fill out the form and tell Toshiba what you and/or your classroom is doing to help protect the environment.

It's a nice way to give back to your school, as well as get some cool, Earth-friendly goodies to use.
