Today Only! Epson MovieMate 60 All-in-One Projector: $480 Shipped

By Rachel Cericola

We are already thinking about summer -- at least the party aspect of it. One thing that would make that outdoor get-together a sure-fire hit would be a big, honkin' projector. And your neighbor was just thinking about serving potato salad?

Amazon is making it easy to plan ahead for those parties. Today's Gold Box Deal is the Epson MovieMate 60 home theater projector. Aside from projecting a nice, big image, this unit also has built-in speakers and a DVD player. Just add a screen, and you're in business. Check out the deal:

Note: this price is only valid 2/20/10 and only with "Amazon.com" as the seller.  If you see a higher price on the MovieMate 60 on this date then look to the right of the product page on Amazon for "Other Buying Choices" to make sure you add the item to your cart from Amazon.com (not a marketplace seller).

The MovieMate 60 can project a 60-inch image from six feet (or 120 inches from 12 feet). Other features include 2,000 lumens of color and white light output, Dolby Digital audio decoding, and HDMI connectivity. Its native 960x540 pixel resolution isn't quite HD, but it does accept HD inputs such as a high definition set top box or Blu-ray player and they look great with excellent color saturation.  We're guessing the kids won't complain when they are staring at 100 inches of Guitar Hero. It really is a fun addition for family outings and/or adds a little something special if you like to entertain.

Either way, it's hard to pass up Amazon's special price, which is 31 percent off the list cost. They are even throwing in free shipping. However, you'd better act fast; the deal is only good for today, Saturday, 2/20 -- or while supplies last.
