Test Drive DISH Network with Free TV Shows and Movies to your Computer or Mobile Device for 24 Hours

By Rachel Cericola

If you were wondering about DISH Network's TV Everywhere service, the company would like to offer you a test drive.

The satellite service provider just announced Test Drive, a new service that allows subscribers to sample the company's TV Everywhere technology at no charge for 24 hours. During that time, you'll be able to sample TV programming online or through your mobile device of choice -- assuming it's compatible, of course.

DISH Network will make the Test Drive option available starting February 1, 2012, through the Test Drive website. Just go there, sign up, and start streaming.

So you never have to be without TV while on the go, the TV Everywhere option allows subscribers to watch both live and recorded TV programs on compatible smartphones, tablets and computers. DISH Network first announced the service in 2010. This new offering is another first, with DISH being the only provider to offer the "try before you buy" option. To watch live TV, TV Everywhere subscribers need a ViP 922 SlingLoaded DVR or a ViP 722 or 722k HD DuoDVR paired with the Sling Adapter add-on.

"As people continue to buy millions of tablets and smartphones, they will want to enjoy their favorite TV and movie shows on their tablets," said Vivek Khemka, vice president of Product Management at DISH. "DISH Test Drive makes it easy to experience the magic of our entertainment and technology on smartphones, tablets and online, commitment free."
