Star Wars Complete Saga on Blu-ray Disc: First Review Live

By Chris Boylan

Although we're still impatiently awaiting our own review copy, apparently some folks in the U.K. have gotten their hands on the Star Wars Blu-ray set early and the first review is live over on Den of Geek.  The verdict?  Outstanding audio and video quality -- particularly on the original trilogy -- and a huge assortment of extras, guaranteed to keep any fan of the series entertained for days.

UPDATE (9/16/11): Also, check out Chris Chiarella's review:
Yes George has, um, "revised" his work again in some fairly significant ways -- e.g., Darth Vader's "No!" when dispatching the Emperor, the replacement of muppet Yoda with CGI Yoda, etc. -- but many articles and forum threads have already been dedicated to these topics (as will many more, undoubtedly).  And no they did not include the original unaltered versions of the first three films.  So die-hard fans of the original versions may opt not to buy the set, but those who do are apparently in for a treat.

This nine-disc Blu-ray Disc set will have plenty of material to keep fans entertained (but not the unaltered versions of the original three films).

The sets are also available for pre-order on Amazon for delivery on September 16th.  Only the "Complete Saga" version (all six films) includes the extensive extras.

Where to Buy:
