There's a flood of 3DTV-enabled HDTVs in stores, and just about every manufacturer has its own standard for active shutter glasses that aren't compatible with the next brand, or with those used in theaters. Some manufacturers are trying a different approach: passive glasses like those found in most 3D movie theaters.  Sceptre is one of these vendors, coming out with a handful of sets ranging from 32-inches to 65-inches. The sets are available in bundles with compatible polarized glasses.

The 65-inch LED 3D HDTV, E650BV-F12D, is a slim design with energy-saving LED technology. The set is 2.5-inches thick and boasts a panel response time of 5.5 milliseconds. The set supports 1080p Full HD at 120Hz (2D). Sceptre is marketing a bundle for $3,499.99 that includes four sets of polarized glasses, a sound bar and a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver to complement the set's five HDMI ports.

In addition to the 65-inch LED 3D HDTV bundle, Spectre has a number of LED sets ranging from 40-inches to 55-inches. Those are the 40-inch E400BV-FHDD; 42-inch E420BV-FHDD; 46-inch E460BV-FHDD; and 55-inch E550BV-F12D.

An LCD bundle includes Sceptre's 65-inch LCD 3D HDTV, the X650BV-F12D, with four polarized glasses, a 28 watt speaker bar and wireless HDMI for $2,999.99. The LCD set uses passive 3D, which means the same glasses you wear in the theater. The LCD 3D set supports 1080p Full HD and a 5.5 millisecond response time. It also has five HDMI ports for connecting devices.

While it's said that 3D is made to be big, Sceptre believes there's a market for smaller-size sets. Whether it's a TV bought on a budget, or a second or third 3D set for a kid's room or bedroom, the 32'-inch LED 3D HDTV, the E320BV-FHDD,  bundle is impressive both for and despite its size. Video is rendered with depth and eye-popping images in the same way as its larger passive 3D counterparts. The bundle sells for $599.99 and includes two pairs of polarized glasses and comes in both a piano black or gunmetal finish. The 32-inch 3D LED HDTV supports 1080p Full HD; a 5.5 millisecond response time, and offers three HDMI ports.

Expect to find Sceptre's 3D HDTV line at online retailers such as Amazon.com.
