Instead of using a standard lamp for illumination, or even LED lighting like Samsung has done in some of their DLP models, Mitsubishi's new LaserVue TV uses lasers to light up the screen. This results in some of the most richly saturated colors ever seen on a TV, regardless of technology. And because they're the only game in town with this new lighting technique, the price of admission is pretty steep and discounts are hard to find.
