Robocop Trilogy Coming to Blu-ray Disc This Fall

Fans of the Robocop trilogy can finally rejoice as MGM Home Entertainment has officially announced that the complete series of films will be released on Blu-ray on October 5. No technical information or news about the special features has been released at this time, but look for the set to be an improvement over the original Blu-ray release of the first film (let's hope). It's also the first time the sequels will be available on Blu-ray Disc.

We're hoping that the super violent cut of the original Robocop that was used by Criterion in their laserdisc and DVD release will be preserved this time.  It wasn't that much different from the theatrical cut but who doesn't like a little extra gore with their violence?
