Panasonic TC-P50V10 Plasma HDTV Now Shipping (V10/V Series)

By Chris Boylan

Panasonic's eagerly anticipated 2009/2010 V10 series 50-inch plasma HDTV (the TC-P50V10) is now available from Panasonic-authorized online dealers Amazon and OneCall.  OneCall has the 54-inch version as well (TC-P54V10)

Here are the links to order the TC-P50V10 and TC-P54V10: The V10's major enhancements over the G10 series include a newly enhanced 24p Cinematic Playback Mode which presents native 24 frame/second material at 96 Hz. This should eliminate judder on film-sourced material introduced by 3:2 encoding while preventing the flicker that was seen in last year's PZ800 and PZ850 series plasmas (which handled film material at 48 Hz).

Also available is a Digital Cinema Color mode that is designed to present more vivid and accurate colors from Digital Cinema sources. The new 50-inch V10 model also includes a swivel stand in place of the fixed tabletop stand included with other Panasonic plasmas.

More features and details on the V10 series Plasma HDTVs from Panasonic:
