Panasonic Wants You to Touch the Future with Full HD 3DTV and Blu-ray 3D

By Rachel Cericola

Are you ready to rock with Panasonic? The company just announced plans to kick off a 15-city tour. No, they won't come packing a rock band, but there should be plenty of groupies looking to grab at some of the company's next-gen consumer electronics.

Earlier this month, Panasonic started packing Best Buy's Magnolia stores with FULL HD 3D TVs and Blu-ray 3D players. Now they are taking that 3D show on the road (again) with their "Touch the Future" Tour.

The experience kicked off this week in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. See below for a complete list of locations.  From there, they will hit a total of 15 cities. In each location, consumers will be invited to touch, or at least look at, Panasonic's latest gear including their brand new Full HD 3D TVs and Blu-ray 3D players.

Panasonic will give away one HD 3D VIERA plasma HDTV, a 3D Blu-ray player and one pair of Panasonic Active Shutter Eyewear in 15 different cities.

Each location will display a VIERA full HD 3D home theater system, where visitors can strap on Panasonic Active Shutter Eyewear to check out the VIERA VT25 full HD 3D plasma TV and BDT350 3D Blu-ray player. Content shown will include a sneak peek of DIRECTV's new HD 3D channels, which are set to debut in June, 2010.

Other content will include a peek at 3D gaming, camcorders and LUMIX digital cameras, Skype-enabled HDTVs, and new VIERA Cast content.

Panasonic will also be holding the Touch the Future Tour Sweepstakes at every stop. In each of the 15 cities, one winner will be chosen to receive a Panasonic Full HD 3D VIERA Plasma HDTV, Panasonic 3D Blu-ray Disc Player and one pair of Panasonic Active Shutter Eyewear.
