Panasonic Black Friday Sale Beats Amazon and Best Buy for TV Prices

By Chris Boylan

Japanese electronics manufacturer Panasonic has had a rough year.  An earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster can do that to a country, and to a company.  And to top it off, this year's lagging economy has left HDTV sales flat (at best).  The result?  A huge sales deficit and a burning need to sell TVs (and other assorted electronics gear) at whatever discounts are necessary in order to end the year strong in sales figures, if not in profits.

What does this mean to you?  It means that Panasonic is offering some killer deals on their highly rated plasma, LED and LCD TVs, as well as Blu-ray home theater systems, players and other electronic equipment.  And they're offering these prices direct to consumers with free shipping on virtually everything they sell until Monday.  Here's the link:

UPDATE: Panasonic has extended this sale to include Cyber Monday as well so the sale is still live on 11/28/11 until midnight.

Panasonic calls this sale the "You Pay What We Pay" promotion, where consumers will get the Panasonic gear at employee discount pricing (or better).  In most cases the discounts are 25% to 50% below the regular prices.  Whatever it's called, it's an opportunity to get high performance Panasonic HDTVs, home theater systems and other electronic gear at the best deals we've ever seen.

A spot check of a few Panasonic models shows that Panasonic's direct pricing is at least $50 to $100 below the prices on Amazon and Best Buy.

We spot-checked a few HDTV models and they're all at least $50 to $100 or more below the current discounted prices from Amazon and Best Buy.  Their 50 inch X3 series plasma (TC-P50X3) is only $529.95 ($599 on Amazon).  And the 42-inch 3D-capable 1080p ST30 series TV (TC-P42ST30) is only $534.96 ($699.99 on Amazon).  That's more than 50% off the list price!  And again, all prices include shipping and all TVs, Blu-ray players and home theater systems are on sale (as are dozens of other items that Panasonic manufactures).

Panasonic's VT30 series 3D-ready HDTVs are among the highest rated HDTVs on the market.

Head over there for an HDTV, but also be sure to check out their Blu-ray players, Blu-ray 3D Home Theater systems and TV accessories.  They are also offering massive discounts on digital cameras, phones and other consumer electronic gear.  Note that most prices will not be revealed until you put the TV into your cart and you may need to set up an account (with a valid e-mail address) in order to see the pricing.
