OmniMount Adds LED TV Mounts and More to Its HDTV Wall Mount Line-Up

By Greg Robinson

Like the flat panel displays they support, display mounts are getting thinner, lighter and more innovative every year. For proof, look no further than OmniMount's latest crop of mount offerings announced this week at CEDIA Expo in Atlanta. In addition to new product offerings in their New Classics Series, OmniMount also unveiled their new LED Series of mounts, which features completely flush in-wall mount options as well as innovative new on-wall mounts featuring an aircraft-grade cable and pulley "Suspension System."

New members of the popular New Classics Series of fixed, tilt and full motion mounts include the NCLP60F (medium fixed mount), NCLP120F (large fixed mount), NCLP60T (medium tilt mount) and the NCLP120T (large tilt mount). Fitting extremely close to the wall (0.55" for the fixed and 0.98" for the tilt versions), these New Classics also benefit from OmniMount's new Level n' LockTM technology. An expansion of OmniMount's patented Lift n' LockTM feature, Level n' LockTM now makes it possible to level the screen post-installation with the mere turn of a screw

Proving there's more than one way to skin a cat, or a hang a flat panel HDTV as the case may be, OmniMount's new LED Series features a unique new approach to on-wall mounting. Designed with aircraft-grade cable and aluminum alloy, the LEDW60 and LEDW120 offer what OmniMount is calling their Suspension System, which hangs your HDTV much like like a picture frame. The Suspension System's heavy-duty cable passes through a central support pulley while two side "grips" minimize panel shifting. A "kickstand" keeps the bottom of your panel away from the wall to allow for easier wiring access.

An in-wall or on-wall (your choice) model, dubbed the LEDP75, was also introduced as a member of the new LED Series. The LEDP75 features a traditional nested arm as its means of support and should prove popular thanks to its potential for a completely flush-mount, no profile, in-wall installation.

As for the New Classics mounts, the NCLP60F and NCLP120F are now shipping with an MSRP of $79.95 and $99.95, respecitvely. The NCLP60T and NCLP120T will ship in Q1 of next year with MSRPs set at $129.95 and $149.95, respectively.

The LEDP75, LEDW120 and LEDW60 are available now with an MSRP of $249.95, $149.95 and $99.95, respectively.
