Nintendo 3DS Now Available for Pre-order

By Rachel Cericola

It's time to stop frothing and start buying. The Nintendo 3DS has popped up on the web, and is now available for pre-order.

The highly anticipated handheld will be the first widespread consumer electronics product to display 3D without the need for 3D glasses. The top screen will do the 3D, while the bottom features a touchscreen for use with a telescoping stylus. Another perk for 3D fans includes a 3D Depth Slider, which actually allows users to set the level of 3D they want to experience.

Other 3DS features include the + Control Pad, a Circle Pad, a built-in motion sensor and gyro sensor, and three cameras. Each Nintendo 3DS comes pre-loaded with games, apps and other features.

Walmart.com is currently listing the Nintendo 3DS for pre-order, at the normal MSRP of $249.99. However, this price includes a free flex case worth $10.  The game console itself is available in Aqua Blue or Cosmo Black.  WalMart also has a selection of 3DS games available including Dead or Alive Dimensions, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries, Samurai Warriors Chronicles, Super Monkey Ball, or Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition for $39.96 a piece.

Amazon is also offering the Nintendo 3DS and a selection of games for pre-order.
