Logitech Offers Harmony 300 Universal Remote: First Harmony Under $50
Here we were thinking that the Harmony 600 and 650 were inexpensive remotes. Just a few weeks after Logitech announced its new sub-$100 pair, they are back with something even cheaper -- the Harmony 300 remote control.
This is the first model in the Harmony line priced under $50. It has the easy programming and the Watch TV activity button that you've come to know and envy from every other Harmony remote. The big difference here is that the 300 doesn't have an LCD screen.
Still, it's hard to argue $49.99 for complete control over your A/V setup -- or at least for a nice controller for that second, third or even fourth TV in the house. The Harmony 300 replaces up to four devices total. Aside from that Watch TV button, there are dedicated DVR buttons, and other programmable buttons that can be customized or used to find favorite channels.
Currently, the Harmony line supports more than 250,000 home-entertainment devices from more than 5,000 brands.
With that kind of compatibility and that price, the Harmony 300 is the perfect gift for all of the moms in your life (remember Mother's Day??), your friends, neighbors, and even for yourself. According to Amazon, it's shipping now.
