Five years to the day that Oceanic Flight 815 crashed and disappeared en route from Sydney to Los Angeles--coincidentally the same date that the TV series LOST premiered on ABC--Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment announces the details of LOST The Complete Fifth Season on Blu-ray Disc. Arriving on December 8th, one of its many bonus features will be the BD-Live-enabled "LOST University," an interactive experience that will allow viewers to explore the vast world of LOST like never before.
"Professors" will include executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof, with guest lectures from members of the cast and other notables. The array of available courses will explore the themes and storylines of the mind-expanding show. This will be a multi-semester affair, but good students might be rewarded not only with a deeper insight but also clues to some of the long-daunting mysteries as LOST enters its final new season next year.
The main campus of "LOST University" will reside on the LOST The Complete Fifth Season Blu-ray disc, connected and powered by BD-Live. After launch, students will gain access to their personalized lesson plans, high-definition audio/video presentations and communication from the LOST University faculty and staff. Enrollees can also buy LOST U merchandise at the campus bookstore and gossip on the LOST University message boards.
