Trying to make a plan for Black Friday shopping? You can kick back, make a few clicks, and be done with the whole thing days before Thanksgiving dinner even hits the table.
LG Electronics just announced a sale on OLED TVs, just in time for your holiday shopping. The company has temporarily slashed prices on the LG B6 OLED TV. The 55-inch model will sell for $1,799.99, with the 65-incher on sale for just $2,799.99.
Both sets feature OLED technology, which uses self-lighting pixels that can switch on and off automatically. This results in an image with deeper blacks, improved brightness, bolder colors, and a better overall contrast.
The B6 Series also has high dynamic range (HDR) with Dolby Vision and HDR10 with "Ultra HD Premium" certification by the UHD Alliance. HDR can give all of those images an extra boost, including the content that's streaming from services such as Netflix, Amazon Video, and VUDU.
LG has also packed each B6 TV with webOS 3.0. This latest version of the Smart TV platform boasts an intuitive user interface, easy connectivity with mobile devices, and access to apps such as Netflix, YouTube, and Channel Plus.
Other perks that can be found on both sets include Cinematic Color, a 4K upscaler, four HDMI inputs with HDCP 2.2 support, three USB ports, and built-in Wi-Fi.
The OLED55B6P and OLED65B6P are typically listed at $1,999.99 and $2,999.99, respectively. According to LG, the sale prices will only be good through Cyber Monday, which is November 28, 2016.
