Killer Home Theater Deals: Harman Kardon AVR1600 A/V Receiver with Klipsch 5.1 Speaker System: $599

By Rachel Cericola

An audio setup can make or break your whole home theater experience. If you've been relying on your TV's tiny speakers to deliver thrills and chills, you're really missing out. Amazon wants to fill that void, packaging up Harman Kardon's AVR1600 A/V Receiver with the Klipsch HD 500 5.1 speaker package, all for $599. Since both products have an MSRP of $599 each, that's like getting one of the items for free!

The AVR1600 receiver pumps 50 watts into each of the seven channels. Other features include decoding for the latest audio and video formats, proprietary Logic 7 processing, three HDMI connections with 1080p pass-through, and an MP3 Music Enhancer mode to pump up the sound of your digital music. Harman also makes this system simple to set up, with its EzSet/EQ calibration system.

That receiver is a perfect match for Klipsch's HD 500 speaker package. This is a full package, with everything you need for full 5.1 surround sound. The HD 500 includes four speakers with a 2.5-inch IMG woofer and a .75 aluminum Micro-Tractrix horn-loaded tweeter. The center channel ups that count with an extra woofer. The set rounds out with a 100-watt, 8-inch powered subwoofer.

Don't forget to add BOTH items into your shopping cart. Otherwise, you could be missing out on an awesome freebie. The savings will then be reflected during checkout. To get this discount, you'll need to buy the items directly from Amazon (not one of the third-party vendors). The online retailer says that this offer is good from now through December 31, 2010 or while supplies last.
