Karaoke on your iPod or iPhone? Meet Pyle's PWMA970 Portable PA and Wireless Mics

By Rachel Cericola

There are a lot of people out there that are basically a one-man (or woman) party. Some of us, however, could use a little help. That help could probably be found in the Pyle PWMA970 Wireless PA System.

This device is its own party. Featuring an 8-inch woofer, 300 watts of power and an iPod/iPhone dock, the PWMA970 can park your portable and keep tunes on a constant rotation -- and yes, we do mean constant. If the iOS device is docked, the PWMA970 can keep it charged up enough to make it through any all-nighter.

Speaking of which, those wee hours of the morning would probably be a good time to bust out the two wireless VHF handheld microphones that come with this unit. What amps up a crowd more than a little karaoke?

So basically, the PWMA970 allows you to play that funky music -- and sing along to it as well. However, if you're more of a performer, the PWMA970 also has a 1/4-inch guitar input on the front, for those spontaneous jam sessions.

The PWMA970 also has a 3.5mm retractable cable for auxiliary input, a USB port, and an SD card reader, for adding in a ton of other digital music possibilities. It even has a built-in FM radio with auto scan and preset options.

Other features include a stereo RCA output and a retractable handle, so you can cart it around anywhere you go. A built-in rechargeable battery means that revelers can bust a move on the fly for up to five hours, or you can opt to power this beast using the included AC adapter.

Pyle lists the PWMA970 Wireless PA System with the two wireless microphones for $453.99. However, click the link below and you can probably get this party started for less than half that price.
