Insignia NS-BRDVD3 Netflix Streaming Blu-ray Player: $99.99
When Netflix announced that Best Buy's Insignia brand of Blu-ray players would support their instant streaming service, we were excited, because the entry-level model - the NS-BRDVD3 - was selling for around $179.99. Well now Best Buy has dropped a bombshell, lowering the list price of the player to $149.99 and putting it on sale for just $99.99. Yup, that's a full HD 1080p Blu-ray Disc player, with DVD upconversion and Netflix streaming for under $100!
Note: The $99.99 price is available again (Thanksgiving/Black Friday 2009) and now the deal is even better with a free Blu-ray movie (Transformers: ROTF or The Watchmen Director's Cut):
Here's the link for the player:
The player features full BD-ROM Profile 2.0 support (BonusView and BD-Live capability). BD-Live requires connection of a USB flash drive at least 1 GB in capacity as well as a wired connection to your home network and from there to the internet. A wireless bridge or wireless gaming adapter (not included) can be added for Wi-Fi support.
The player also supports bitstream output of multi-channel PCM, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD surround sound formats over its HDMI digital output. DVDs can be upconverted over HDMI to 720p, 1080i or 1080p output.
You can either order for delivery or order online for local store pick-up in most areas on the US. Not sure how long this sale lasts so grab one while you can.
