In-Ceiling Speaker Deal: Energy EAS-8C Speakers: $73.74/pair (MSRP: $399.99)

By Rachel Cericola

Speakers don't have to be the focal point of every room. Sometimes, it's ok to hide that sound, whether space is a premium or not. For just such an occasion, in-ceiling speakers can be a nice solution. Delivering heavenly sound from above, these speakers offer a nice way to deliver an audio boost, without having to hog up floor or shelf space.

If you've been waiting to add this stealth sound solution into your home, Amazon has a deal that could make the timing just right. The online retailer currently has Energy's EAS-8C In-Ceiling Speakers listed for just $73.74 per pair. This is a whopping 81 percent off the product's list price, which is $399.99. This discount is being made available through the retail partner World Wide Stereo, but it's actually fulfilled by Amazon. (Amazon has them for about $2 more.) That means that the discount also includes free Super Saver shipping. Find out more on Amazon's product page:

Designed for both small and large rooms, the Energy EAS-8C in-ceiling speaker features an 8-inch composite aluminum woofer that boasts deep, powerful bass directly from your ceiling. That blends nicely with the speaker's 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter, which promises broad frequency response and wide dispersion. The end result should be a large soundfield, whether you use the speakers for small or large home theater rooms or even distributed audio throughout the home.

With the ability to handle up to 125 watts, the EAS-8C is rated with a frequency response of 45-20,000 Hz (±3dB) and a sensitivity rating of 90dB. Each speaker also features paintable frames and speaker grilles, to make this option even more covert and part of your everyday decor.

When you order, remember to buy through Amazon's retail partner World Wide Stereo. They are the ones offering the discount, even though it's actually fulfilled by Amazon. That way, you get the discounted price and the free shipping. Amazon is selling the same set for just $2 more. Either one is an awesome price for in-ceiling speakers, and the cheapest that we've seen this set. Better order a pair (or three) for yourself before the retailer runs out of stock!
