First Three Led Zeppelin Albums Now Available in Remastered High Resolution Audio from HDtracks

By Rachel Cericola

Are you ready to get the Led out? If you don't have a high quality download, you may want to hang on for a second.

HDTracks just announced a new addition to its high-res audio lineup -- three, actually. The service has just added the reissued and remastered versions of the first three Led Zeppelin albums.

Right now, you can score the deluxe editions of Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III from Atlantic Records. That means that you'll be able to enjoy classics such as "Heartbreaker," "Whole Lotta Love," "Thank You," "The Immigrant Song," and really way too many others to list here, all with the best sample rates currently available.

Besides those 96kHz/24-bit sample rates, it's important to know that these aren't the same versions as what you've been storing on vinyl for so many years. Atlantic is promising to deliver new live versions of songs, alternate takes and more.

If you need a little extra classic rock, HDTracks is planning to add new downloads from Creedence Clearwater Revival and the Faces. Fans of the alt genre will also appreciate newly remastered albums from Echo and the Bunnymen (Meteorites) and Camper Van Beethoven (El Camino Real). There will also be new downloads from our favorite Seattle grunge icons, Soundgarden. And finally, the service will also have Meshell Ndegeocello's Comet, Come To Me added to its growing lineup.

The company plans to keep adding new music, as it becomes available. Just in the last few weeks, HDTracks has added Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic, Get Your Wings and Rocks, as well as Cream's Goodbye, Disreali Gears and Fresh Cream. Pixies' fans will also appreciate the availability of Indie Cindy, the band's first studio album since 1991's Trompe le Monde.

As a side note, HDTracks has just launched TheAudioBuzz.com, a new blog for music fans. Check out the site for news on new releases, as well as industry info and interviews.

Founded in 2008 by three-time Grammy nominee, record producer and musician, David Chesky, and his brother Norman, HDtracks offers DRM-free CD and DVD-Audio-quality downloads, in both 24/96- and 24/192-bit sampling rates.
