Coraline and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs on Blu-ray 3D Free with Panasonic 3D TV Purchase

By Rachel Cericola

We are as anxious for 3D content as the next person. Well, probably a lot more than the people buying Panasonic's VIERA VT25 3D plasma TVs.

The manufacturer just announced a pretty nice promotion for its new VIERA VT25 3D plasma series. Just buy one of the four models in the series, mail in a form, and Panasonic will send you two 3D Blu-rays: Coraline and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

The promotion kicks off exclusive agreements with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Universal Studios Home Entertainment. So we're guessing you won't be able to find 3D versions of those titles elsewhere for a little bit.

Both studios got the filmmakers involved on the 3D encoding process. Each title was authored by the Compression and Authoring Center of Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory.
