CES: Track Scan Brings 5.1 Power to Gaming Headphones

By Peter Suciu

While video games today offer sounds worthy of the big screen presentation - despite the continued emphasis on "video" - few headphones actually deliver the robust sounds. Track-Scan is one company's that realized that you shouldn't have to sacrifice quality when you need to listen with headphones.

To solve the problem the company introduced the VIBRAS Five. One Channel Surround Sound Headset System, which features Dolby Digital technology. These feature five speakers in each headset cup, and come with a Dolby Digital decoder box that connects to the console via an optical cable.

Track-Scan has two versions available including one for the Xbox 360, which includes a detachable microphone that features in-line powered amplifier. This microphone, which also plugs directly into the Xbox 360 game controller, can also be used with VOIP applications. The PC version further features CyberLink PowerDVD V.7.0 software and it connects to a computer via either mini USB or USB.
