Black Friday Blu-ray 3D Sale: Titanic, Prometheus, Transformers: $14.99, and More

By Chris Boylan

Our biggest complaint about 3D at home isn't about the need for glasses or the expense of the 3D-capable TVs, but about the lack of 3D content.  If you want to enjoy 3D at home, you need high quality 3D content. And it doesn't get any higher in quality than Blu-ray 3D: 1080p resolution, lossless multi-channel surround sound, loads of extra features.  And the players are now under $100, even with advanced internet streaming like Netflix, Pandora, VUDU and Amazon VOD.

Amazon wants to help you grow your 3D library this holiday season with some big discounts on Blu-ray 3D titles including Titanic ($14.99), Hugo ($12.00), Prometheus ($14.99), I Robot ($14.99), Transformers: Dark of the Moon ($14.99) and many more.

Other titles are also on sale including Avatar ($24.96), and Disney-Pixar's latest adventure, Brave ($24.99).

In most cases, these aren't just single disc sets, but 3 and 4-disc combo packs that include DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, and sometimes Digital Copy versions of the films so you can enjoy the full resolution 2D or 3D versions at home and a portable copy on the road.  List prices vary from $40 up to $60, so there are some really great bargains here.

Pricing and availability is subject to change so check it out and grab some while they last.
