Black Friday iPad Deals: iPad 4 with Retina Display $40 to $60 Off

By Chris Boylan

2012 is certainly the year of the tablet, and the king of the tablet world is still arguably Apple.  When they slipped a new generation of full-size iPad (their fourth) in with their iPad mini announcement in October, some folks didn't even notice. But it's true: this month saw the release of a brand new full size iPad with a faster processor and the new 9-pin Lightning connector.

But good luck finding one at a discount. Fortunately for iPad lovers, Best Buy has a few thousand iPads on hand for Black Friday weekend and they're offering the tablet at $40 to $60 below list today and tomorrow only, while supplies last.

When we checked the white 16GB model was sold out, but the black 16GB WiFi model was still available ($459.99) as were a number of higher capacity tablets (32GB, 64GB) in both the WiFi-only and WiFi+4G flavors.  The iPad mini is also currently in stock though not at a discount.

Check them our at BestBuy.com while they last:

That fourth-generation iPad has the same 9.7-inch Retina display as the third generation model. along with the FaceTime HD camera. It also boasts Apple's new A6X processor, which Apple says offers double the processing capability and graphics power of the third-gen model.

The iPad with Retina Display offers 10 hours of battery life on a full charge and is fully compatible with the 275,000+ apps designed specifically for earlier iPads, including the new iBooks app for iPad, which lets users read eBooks in over 40 languages.
