Holiday Shopping Tip: How to Get Best Deals on Samsung TVs

Black Friday TV Shopping Tip: Put it in the Cart!

If you're shopping online for a new Samsung TV this year, whether it's a 3D-ready model, a 1080p plasma, an LCD HDTV or an LED TV, the best prices may be hiding in plain sight.  Because of Samsung's strict MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policies, authorized Samsung dealers are forbidden from posting prices below MAP on their web sites in public view.  This doesn't mean you can't find great deals on Samsung's highly rated flat panel TVs, but it does mean that you might have to do a little digging.

Shopping Carts? - Are We in The Supermarket?

One popular method that online retailers use to get around the MAP policy is to hide the price of a TV on the product description page, and only reveal it to the customer once the item is placed into his or her shopping cart.  But you don't need to worry as you will always be able to see the final price on screen before you provide payment information or commit to a purchase.

Samsung's D8000 series LED TV has virtually no frame, all screen. And you can save hundreds on it if you know where to look.

Amazon, for example, has an automated pricing engine that compares its prices on Samsung TVs to competitors and adjusts the price to be lower -- in some cases much lower -- than the competition.  This program runs multiple times per day.  But the only way to see these low prices is to put the TVs in your cart and begin the checkout process.  Amazon pricing varies, but a few examples as of today include:

Your best bet is to head over to Amazon, search for the model you want, put it in your cart and see how low they can go.

So you can get some great deals on Samsung TVs online if you are willing to put in a little effort.  Of course, it's a lot better than getting up at 4:00 AM on Black Friday and waiting in line at BestBuy only to have the guy in front of you get the last one of those TVs you had your eye on.
