Black Friday 4K TV Deal: VIZIO P65-C1 65-Inch UHD Display with Dolby Vision HDR: $1799 (Save $200)

By Rachel Cericola

Just because it's Black Friday, you shouldn't assume that TVs are being discounted so that retailers can dump old, out-of-date stock. We found a few sets with the latest and greatest TV technology, at prices that are too good to pass up.

For instance, Best Buy is currently offering the VIZIO 65-inch P65-C1 P-Series 4K Ultra HD TV for just $1,799.99. This discount is $200 off the list price, and even includes free shipping. To find out more about this set and this deal, check out Best Buy's product page:

This 65-inch set has an awesome 4K image, but adds in Dolby Vision HDR (high dynamic range). That's a very nice perk for this price. Dolby Vision can deliver better brightness, contrast, and color on images that come through OTT online streaming, broadcast, Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc, and even gaming applications. Dolby Vision is currently available for the home through Amazon, Netflix, and VUDU streaming platforms, with more expected to follow.

In addition to 4K and Dolby Vision support, the P-Series also has Ultra Color Spectrum features for a wider color gamut, Clear Action 960 for smooth on-screen action, and local dimming with 128 active LED zones for brighter colors, stronger black levels, and better overall contrast. Other perks include Google Cast and a remote that's a 6-inch Android tablet. That little bonus has 16GB of storage, the ability to display 1080p video right on its own color screen, and can actually control the TV.

We're not the only ones singing this set's praises, though. CNET gave the VIZIO P-Series an 8.7 out of 10, one of their highest ratings ever for a TV. "I have yet to test the very best 2016 TVs, but I'd be surprised if the P-Series isn't among them -- and the least expensive," said David Katzmaier in his review.

One thing we need to mention is that the P-Series isn't technically a "TV," because it actually lacks a built-in tuner. If you have cable, satellite TV, or stream most of your shows, this won't really matter. That said, it's something we wanted to point out.

Another thing worth mentioning is that this discount isn't limited to the 65-inch model. If you're looking for something a little larger, Best Buy is also discounting the 75-inch P75-C1. This set is also $200 off, which brings the cost down to $3,599.98 shipped.
