American Recorder's CAB-1001 Gives Flat TVs a Lift for Under $500

Now you see it, now you don't -- well, if you don't want to.
American Recorder Technologies just announced its new Flat Screen Lift Cabinet (model CAB-1001), which can conceal flat-panel TVs when they aren't in use.
"No matter the decor in the room, our new Flat Screen Lift Cabinet can be used to beautifully, quickly and easily hide almost any flat screen television," said Alan Adelstein, ART's president.
The unit has a floating top design, a custom-fit Nexus 21 motor, and a 1.5-inch tubular steel, flat black texture finish. Built to accommodate screens anywhere from 42 to 55 inches, the company plans to launch the cabinet in three of its most popular finishes: black, maple and rosewood. Expect other tops and finishes to come later.
The CAB-1001 Flat Screen Lift Cabinet measures 63 by 19 by 38 inches. It's expected to sell for $499.95.
