WowWee Technologies (a division of that same company that makes Robopets, Robosapiens and other popular robot toys) has announced their Cinemin suite of ultra-portable multimedia micro projectors. These projectors--which fit in the palm of our hand to go anywhere--feature Texas Instruments' DLP Technology inside for a clear picture, at 480 x 320 resolution.

Designed to work with popular handy sources devices like the iPod and iPhone, Cinemin projectors can project video or a photo slide show large enough to share, quickly, simply and in unusual locations: the ceiling of a bedroom, the side of a tent, a hotel room wall, and more.

The Cinemin "Swivel" pico projector ($299) is the most affordable of the three models and is extremely lightweight, about as big as a Snickers and boasting three-hour battery life on movie watching. There's a volume control and a 90-degree hinge for overhead projection. The Cinemin "Stick" (mmm...) pico projector ($349) adds its own internal memory plus the benefit of an SD card slot for even more storage for your favorite videos and photos.

The WowWee cinemin projectors work with most portable media players (including iPods).

The more elaborate Cinemin "Station" pico projector ($399) might resemble an alarm clock in size and layout, but is actually an iPod docking station with integrated speakers, and let's see your alarm clock try to project a movie...
