Looking for a great deal on one of the best HDTVs currently available? Well you'd better be quick because OneCall has Panasonic's top of the line TH-50PZ750U 50-inch 1080p plasma HDTV for $2499.99 delivered, this weekend only. That's over $1000 below list on a HDTV that is rarely discounted.

Panasonic TH-50PZ750U: $2499.77 delivered - this weekend only!

To make the deal even sweeter, Panasonic is currently offering a $200 mail-in-rebate applicable toward professional installation by your favorite local installer or contractor. Don't forget to apply coupon code "HOLIDAY07" at check-out in order to get the deal.

Better Than The Best?

Consumer Reports recently rated this set's "little brother" the TH-50PZ700U, the best television they'd ever tested. And yet this one is even better. How is that possible? Both sets feature the exact same 10th generation 1920x1080 pixel plasma panel, so their video performance is equally excellent. However the Z750 model also features "Professional" and "Studio Reference" picture calibration settings which allow the set's color reproduction and color temperature to be even more accurate, closer to studio reference levels. The Z750U also includes a third HDMI input as well as offering direct playback of AVCHD and MPEG2 videos via its SD card slot. If you've got an SD-card based camcorder you can play your home videos back in high definition just by putting the SD card in the front panel reader on the Z750U.

Although we have not yet done a full review of this set, we've set up and calibrated one of these puppies and put it through its paces with some pretty demanding test material, and it has wowed us with its deep blacks and impressive picture detail. If you're looking for a reference quality display to take full advantage of HD-DVD or Blu-ray Disc movies, then this is the one. It even does a good job making standard definition television shows and DVDs look enjoyable and that's saying something.

The TH-50PZ750U is only carried by a few select retailers and OneCall is one of only a handful that is authorized to sell it online, so take advantage of this discount while it lasts, and rest assured that you'll be covered by the full one year manufacturer's warranty from Panasonic.
