JVC's HDTV with Teledock: Your iPod's New Best Friend?
By Chris Boylan

Earlier this Summer, JVC held a press event in New York City showing off their new audio and video products. And though I'd seen them before at CES, I was impressed once again with their new line of LCD televisions which include an integrated flip-down iPod dock JVC calls the TeleDock®.

Now there's no need to run wires or purchase a separate dock in order to connect your iPod to your home entertainment system. Just flip down the Teledock, pop in your iPod and starting enjoying your music, photos and iTunes video files right on your HDTV screen. And if your TV is connected to an audio system, you can listen to music and movies stored on your iPod on your home theater or stereo system as well.

The iPod button the JVC's new television remotes allows you to access and control your iPod media without getting off the couch.
As with any good dock, the iPod charges while it's docked, even when the TV is turned off. And the TV's remote actually includes control capabilities for your docked iPod so you can navigate through your media from across the room. Although the sets are not technically "iPhone-ready" (since they do not suppress the hum that can accompany an iPhone's ring when receiving a call), the pin configuration is compatible with the iPhone, the iPod Touch as well as standard iPod models.

The sets also feature a wealth of video features, including JVC's 5-point color management, digital video noise reduction and multiple aspect ratios to make sure all your sources look their best, whether they're highly compressed iTunes video files or full HD 1080p Blu-ray discs.  The 32-inch model features 720p resolution, while the 42-inch, 47-inch and 52-inch models include full HD 1080p resolution.
