Runco Adds Processor & Controller to V-33i and V-33d Projectors
By Rachel Cericola
Designed for home theaters with cinema-sized screens, the new Video Xtreme VX-33i and VX-33d each feature a 3-chip DLP light engine with 1080p SuperOnyx DMD, and Runco's own video processing and scaling technologies. With O-Path technology and ISF settings for precise calibration, the company says that either unit would be perfect for projection screens greater than 120 inches diagonal.
Priced at $49,995, the VX-33i includes Runco's own Vivix video processing. For $59,995, the VX-33d includes the external DHD video processor controller.
The VX-33d features Runco's advanced external DHD video processor controller.
"This project represents Runco's legacy in high-end projection," said Gerry Perkel, Runco CEO. "Runco has always dominated in this elite market space and these new products give our dealers the solutions that will enable them to continue to own their markets."
Each projector also features CinOptx lens options, which leaves a lot of leeway when it comes to placement. There's also the option to add CineWide and CineWide with AutoScope technology for 2.35:1 installs. Both units also come backed with a 2-year standard RuncoCare warranty.
The XV-33i and the VX-33d are available now through Runco's certified dealer network. The company plans to show off both projectors at the CEDIA show in Atlanta next month.
