Sony BRAVIA LCD HDTV Sale: Save up to 43% (2 Days Only)
By Big Picture Big Sound Deal Meister
Sony's top of the line 46-inch XBR8 model features LED backlighting and is available for two days only on Amazon.com for 35% below list.
Here's the link for the sale:
The 40-inch KDL-40XBR7 features advanced MotionFlow 120 Hz technology for smooth clean motion, the BRAVIA Engine EX fully digital video processor and a full HD 1080p panel (1920x1080 pixels). It also includes support for Sony's 24p True Cinema feature, displaying movies, which are shot at 24 frames/second, at a native multiple of that for clean, judder-free film motion reproduction.
As for the 46-inch KDL-46XBR8, this model features everything in the XBR7 line, with the enhancement of a triluminous LED backlighting system for deep contrast levels that approach those of plasma televisions without any of plasma's drawbacks. Samsung may have coined the term "LED TV" for their LED-backlit LCD televisions but it was actually Sony that was first on the scene with LED backlighting back in 2005. The XBR8 models represents the latest evolution of this design. By using a "triluminous" LED lighting system with separate red, green and blue LED lighting elements, Sony TVs can reproduce a wide spectrum of colors for bright, vivid high definition images.
This sale will run for two days only (ending Tuesday June 17th at midnight) or while supplies last.
And if your budget lies toward the slightly lower end of the spectrum then check out Amazon's current deals on plasma and LCD HDTVs, some of which are also steeply discounted - How about a 42-inch Panasonic plasma for $665 or a 32-inch Toshiba LCD HDTV for $479? Note that in most cases you must add the TV to your shopping cart in order to see the discounted prices.
