HDTV Deals: Amazon Offers Additional 10% Off Coupon for Plasma and LED TVs

By Rachel Cericola

The Super Bowl is just a few weeks away. While you're busy stocking the bar and measuring how big of a sandwich you'll need, you may want to stop for a second and think about how you'll enjoy that big game. Now is the time for an HDTV upgrade, since Amazon is highlighting 26 different models -- and offering discounts on all of them.

These are good discounts. They're also good HDTVs, too. In fact, there are some very high-end selections in this crop. If you order one of these HDTVs from now through January 30, 2012 and use Amazon.com Visa Rewards Card, you can also score an extra 10 percent off by using the coupon code JANGET10 during checkout. This is a one-time promotional code, which is only good on these select purchases. Find out more about this special offer on Amazon.com:

Panasonic's TC-P65VT30 has a 1080p image and 3D support. It also comes with a pair of 3D glasses in the box.

We found Panasonic's 65-inch TC-P65VT30 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV on this list for $2999.98. This is about $1000 off the list price, and includes free shipping. What it doesn't include is the aforementioned 10 percent coupon code discount, meaning that you can get this HDTV for even less!

This 65-incher is an active 3D TV, which means that you can enjoy an eye-popping 1080p resolution to each eye. It even comes packing a pair of 3D glasses, so you can have that experience right out of the box. Other features include THX 3D certification, Panasonic's Infinite Black Pro 2 panel, 600Hz sub-field motion drive technology, three USB ports, and four HDMI inputs. It also has VIERA Connect, which adds web-based entertainment options into your everyday viewing experience. It's also important to note that this HDTV came in second during the annual Value Electronics HDTV shootout. In other words, it's a very nice HDTV. Find out more about this model on Amazon's product page:

Right behind the Panasonic in the HDTV shootout was Samsung, which is also available in this promotion. Samsung's 64-inch PN64D8000 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV is currently listed for $2758.31, which is a little over $1000 off the list price. This HDTV has everything you'd want, including 3D support, a full 1080p HD image, Local Contrast Enhancer (LCE) and Cinema Black. It also has built-in Wi-Fi, which is a nice bonus to access all of the TV's Smart Hub features. This on-demand option allows users to access movies, TV, music, games, a web browser, and much more. It's easy to surf through all of that content with the PN64D8000's included remote, which has a full QWERTY keyboard. Find out more about the PN64D8000 models on Amazon:
