Energy Unveils Energy Power EM-2.1 Powered Speakers

By Rachel Cericola

Energy is kicking off the new month with an entirely new product category. We know the company makes a wide variety of speakers, but now they are going slightly smaller, with the Energy Power EM-2.1.

The Energy Power EM-2.1 is the brand's very first multimedia speaker system. The package includes a 3-inch front-firing subwoofer and two satellite speakers. Boasting fiber composite cone drivers, the speakers can sit on either side of a laptop or computer monitor. The sub is small enough to fit on the desktop, too, so you won't have to worry about kicking it while kicking out the jams (or working, of course).

It should also be insanely easy to setup. Just plug both speakers and your computer setup into the back of the EM 2.1's subwoofer. Then plug the sub into an outlet. All of the cables are included to make the installation process both quick and pain-free. From there, you'll just need to choose what you want to crank out: music, movies, video games, or whatever else on your computer could use that audio boost.

"With the newest addition to our highly-anticipated powered series, consumers truly gain a new means of Energy sound with the Energy Power EM-2.1, this time with a simple setup process at their desktop," said Tommy Jacobs, Energy's director of customer development. "Consumers are becoming avid viewers and listeners on their computers and tablets, and we want to be sure to accommodate them with the best sound reproductions and a pure Energy experience."

All of the pieces have a high-gloss, black-satin finish. The Energy Power EM-2.1 will be available via all authorized Energy retailers starting this month. It will ship with an MSRP of $99.99.
