Disney-Pixar to Unleash Monsters, Inc. and A Bug's Life on Blu-ray

Bugs and slugs and monsters -- oh my! It's not another horror remake, but the release of two Disney-Pixar classics, coming soon to Blu-ray.

The studio just announced that Monsters, Inc. and A Bugs Life will both get the high-def treatment this spring. Each one will be available in a 2-disc set, which includes a digital copy, starting May 19.

Monsters, Inc. will also include a "Filmmakers Round Table" with Pete Docter, Lee Unkrich, Darla Anderson and Bob Peterson sharing anecdotes and other memorable moments. Other features include a peek at the Monstropolis attraction in Tokyo Disneyland and the interactive game "Roz's 100 Door Challenge." Also expect chat, challenges and even movie mail extras all via BD-Live.

Director John Lasseter will offer an introduction for A Bug's Life. That release will includes its own "Filmmakers Round Table" with John Lasseter, Kevin Reher, Darla Anderson and Andrew Stanton, as well as a peek at "The First Draft," and similar BD-Live features.

Although the studio hasn't officially announced pricing for either, Amazon is listing Monsters, Inc. at $40.99, with A Bug's Life going for $39.99. TheHDRoom also says that both releases will include promotional tickets for the new Disney-Pixar flick, Up, which will hit theaters on May 29.
