Buy a Marantz Blu-ray Player, Get Roku's HD Digital Video Player Free

By Rachel Cericola

Marantz does make a quality Blu-ray player. However, they don't make a quality Blu-ray player with streaming media capabilities. Just because you went for quality doesn't mean you need to miss out on a ton of entertainment possibilities. The company just announced a deal to offer a free Roku HD Digital Video Player with select Blu-ray player purchases.

Four models are eligible for the deal: The UD9004 ($5,999.99), UD8004 ($2,299.99), BD7004 ($799.99) or BD5004 ($549.99). Of course, you also have to make the purchase through an authorized Marantz retailer.

Each of the Profile 2.0 players features BD-Live capability, an SD card slot and firmware upgrade possibilities via an Ethernet connection. For you audiophiles out there, the UD9004 and UD8004 can also play DVD-Audio and SACD discs.

Once you make the purchase, you can get the Roku HD Digital Video Player through a mail-in rebate. The Roku player allows you to stream a slew of high-definition audio and video, including including Netflix, Amazon, Pandora, Major League Baseball, and more.
