Projector Deals: Get the Optoma UHD35 4K Projector for $1080 After Cash Back

By Chris Boylan

If you want a true cinematic experience at home, forget flat panel TVs. You're going to need a projector. A good home theater projector can create an image of up to 150 inches or more: literally four times the size of a 75-inch TV (yes, four times the size, not twice the size because MATH). But good projectors with Ultra HD 4K resolution are expensive right? Not always.

As part of the Amazon Prime Early Access sale, Amazon is offering one of the top-selling 4K projectors, the Optoma HD35 at a deep discount of $300 below list.  That brings it down to $1,199 (from $1,499). But wait! There's more! If you have an Amazon Prime Store Card, and use this to pay for the projector, you'll get an additional 10% back in a statement credit after purchase. This brings the net price of the projector down to around $1,080 after $120 cash back. Shipping is free but sales tax may apply depending on where you live.

Optoma's UHD35 projector offers 3,600 lumens of rated brightness and Ultra HD 4K resolution.

One of the top selling 4K projectors in August, the Optoma UHD35 is a true 4K DLP projector with a brightness rating of 3,600 Lumens. This produces a clear image even with some ambient light. The unit support 4K HDR (High Dynamic Range)  content in both HLG and HDR10 formats.

Gamers will be happy to hear that the UHD35 has an input lag of 4.2 microseconds in Gaming mode and supports 1080p gaming at 120Hz or 4K UHD gaming at 60Hz. Optoma claims the lamp can last "up to 15,000 hours." The projector features a 1.1x zoom lens and variable keystone controls (±40°). There are no streaming apps on board but you can connect a 4K streaming stick to one of the projector's HDMI 2.0 inputs.

The UHD35 recently got a recommendation from John Higgins on Projector Central who said, "The Optoma UHD35 is an excellent budget 4K projector that is sure to please someone looking for some extra detail in their movies and games without a big price premium over 1080p models."
