Sonos Speaker Deals: 20% to 25% Off on Beam, PlayBar or PlayBase

By Chris Boylan

If you're looking for a whole home wireless audio system or just better sound from your TV, SONOS has a number of different speakers and home theater solutions that should fit your needs. And this being the time for Black Friday/Cyber Monday discounts, you can get a rare 20% to 25% discount on many of Sonos' most popular sound bars, subwoofers and speakers.

Here's the link to Amazon's limited time SONOS Speaker sale:

The sale includes all three of SONOS' home theater speakers: the original PlayBar soundbar ($529 instead of $699), the PlayBase which sits beneath your TV for maximum stealth ($529 instead of $699) and the affordable SONOS Beam ($299 instead of $399). The PlayBase and PlayBar feature a simple one-cable optical connection to plug into your TV. The Beam can also be connected via optical cable, but can also connect via an HDMI cable that connects to a TV's HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) output. All three speakers can be expanded to true 5.1 surround by adding a Sonos Sub (also on sale) and a pair of Sonos Play:1 or Sonos One speakers to serve surround sound duties.

The Sonos PlayBar can be wall-mounted or placed on a stand in front of your TV.

While it's the least expensive option, the Sons Beam also includes built in support (and a microphone) for Amazon Alexa's Digital Assitant. So you can control your TV or any compatible smart home automation products with your voice.

The Sonos PlayBase is available in black or white and is designed to be placed beneath a TV. It can be paired with a Sonos sub and Sonos One speakers for full 5.1 channel surround sound.

We've reviewed both the PlayBar and the PlayBase and found that both offered huge improvements over TV speakers. But they're also fully integrated into the Sonos whole home wireless music platform so you can play your music anywhere in your home without having to run any speaker wires. Unlike most of the newbie offering for whole home music, the Sonos platform and mobile app are compatible with virtually all of the popular music streaming services included Amazon Music, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, Pandora, TuneIn Internet Radio and dozens more.

And while any of these speakers sounds great on their own, they reach a much higher level of performance when you add a Sonos Sub to handle the bass duties and a pair of Sonos Ones for rear channels.
