Antennas Direct Maxes Out Range and Style with Max Series Indoor/Outdoor Antennas

By Rachel Cericola

Just because you're dropping pay TV doesn't mean you should be spending your nights staring at a wall. There are a lot of streaming services that allow you to get that TV fix. However, an antenna is an absolute must for any cord cutter.

Antennas have come a long way since rabbit ears. Not only can they snag more channels than ever before, but the images are much clearer. In fact, you can pick up a lot of those stations in high-definition -- absolutely free.

Antennas Direct just launched a new line of antennas, known as the MAX Series. The designs look similar to some of the company's previous releases, but this crop has been completely re-engineered for better reception.

Designed for urban, suburban, and rural areas, the MAX series includes both indoor and outdoor options. The company says that all three of the new antennas work well through foliage and roofing materials. Each one is pretty strong too, boasting the ability to withstand 100 mph winds. Also worth noting is that all three models are multi-directional, which means you won't be up on the roof pointing and tweaking. Once the antenna is installed, it will be able to tap into all sorts of channels, in full 1080p HDTV. The collection is also ready for 4K Ultra HD broadcast signals, when available.

The ClearStream 1MAX is designed for receiving TV signals 40 miles away from broadcast towers. No aiming is necessary. Made for indoor, outdoor, and attic use, the 1MAX is the smallest of the lot, weighing just 1.3 pounds and measuring 10-by-31.25-by-4.125 inches.

If you live further away from those broadcast towers, the ClearStream 2MAX can find channels around 60 miles away. It's slightly larger, at 1.14 pounds and 17-by-31.25-by-3.75 inches. Designed for indoor, outdoor, and attic use, this model comes with a 20-inch J-mount and an indoor base stand.

For those even further out, the ClearStream 4MAX can tune into channels from 70 miles away from broadcast towers. Weighing in at 2.11 pounds, the 4MAX measures 17-by-31.25-by-3.75 inches. This model is made specifically for outdoor use, and comes with the 20-inch mount.

Antennas Direct is selling the ClearStream 1MAX and ClearStream 2MAX now, priced at $59.99 and $79.99, respectively. The ClearStream 4MAX is coming soon, with an MSRP of $149.99.
