Black Friday OLED TV Deals: LG 65-inch OLED Ultra HDTV: $2496.99 (OLED65C8)

By Chris Boylan

'Tis the season to pick up a new TV. And why not pick up one of the best on the market, like an LG OLED TV? LG's latest OLED TVs have been the critics' choice for the past few years and the 2018 models bring their performance to new highs. The only drawback? They're so popular, and are already priced competitively, so it's not easy to find big discounts. But hey, $100 is nothing to scoff at, so if you've had your eye on LG's 65-inch C8 series OLED TV, you can buy one today on Amazon for $100 off the lowest price we've seen before. That's $2496.99 with free delivery for the LG OLED65C8 (full model number OLED65C8PUA).

Here's the link:

OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) is currently the best technology available for television performance. And at the moment, LG is the only manufacturer making OLED panels. Even the more expensive Sony OLED sets use LG OLED panels, so by buying one directly from LG, you can pay less for the same panel. Because each one of the self-emissive OLED pixels lights up or turns off on its own, you get incredible black level performance, rich saturated colors and excellent picture uniformity. OLED TVs don't have isues with backlight bleed (there is no backlight) nor do they suffer from the off-axis viewing problems you'll see on LED/LCD TVs.

In addition to full 4K Ultra HD resolution, the LG C8 Series TVs support HDR (High Dynamic Range) in its three most popular variations: Dolby Vision, HDR10 and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG). The set uses LG's advanced tone mapping capability to squeeze the highest performance out of any content, on a scene by scene basis.

As a Smart TV, the set includes the most popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon, VUDU and Hulu. It also comes with the Google Assistant built in, and also works with Amazon Alexa devices for voice control of TV operation as well as control of other Smart Home devices like lights, thermostats, cameras, speakers and more. The C8 series TVs also include LG's latest a9 Intelligent Processor which improves not only the response speed and smoothness of the Smart TV interface, but also improves picture quality from any source, standard definition, high definition or full 4K Ultra High Definition.

As with most of this year's LG TV line-up, the OLED65C8 TV includes support for Dolby Atmos to ensure the most immersive surround sound audio experience. Just add on a Dolby Atmos compatible receiver or sound bar, and connect it to the TV's ARC-compatible HDMI port for full height-enabled Dolby Atmos surround sound. For connectivity, the set includes four HDMI jacks as well as three USB ports, an RF antenna input, one composite video input, an ethernet jack and an optical digital audio output.
