By the way, for any who have tried to order the players, it looks like Amazon's pre-order function is broken for most of the ten players listed on this page. Currently only the LG BD370 and the Samsung BD-P1600 can be ordered via Amazon.

Even Amazon is linking directly to this page from its own home page so I'm not sure exactly what's up with that. We've reported the problem so hopefully they will get it fixed soon. Meanwhile, we'll add the individual player links below - these will all work as soon as Amazon fixes their wacky pre-order system for these players.

Chris, Just canceled Panasonic BD80 order with Provantage due to 3 week back order.
Ordered through your link from 1Stop after I called them to verify stock. They said "Yes, in stock", and I would have it in seven business days! Much better than 3 weeks!

$21.00 more but I'm sure it's worth it.

I'm not sure what 1Stop is. OneCall do you mean? Or is 1Stop some weird Amazon marketplace seller? I thought OneCall's price was still $399??

The BD80 is $350 including shipping on Amazon right now with Amazon.com as the seller. This is probably the safest bet as they are really quick to ship and have generally good customer service. I think the Amazon marketplace sellers can vary a bit in quality of service/speed of shipping.

OneCall is fine too - I just thought their price was higher there at the moment.

And thanks for thinking of Big Picture Big Sound for all your home electronics needs.

I clicked on "Best Price"; a link on your banner which stayed at the top throughout the order process.

Ugh. I was afraid of that. Those links go to PriceGrabber, our price comparison partner. We do get a small per-click fee when you click through on those ads to the individual vendors but no actual commission on the sale. No biggie though. Hopefully they're an authorized dealer and you get your gear on time and in good shape.

The ones we link to directly (Amazon, OneCall, Vanns, J&R, etc.) are the BPBS affiliate sites (and all companies that we have done business with personally). We try to keep this list current on the "Shop with Us" page:

Online Shopping: Great Deals and Coupons on Electronics (HDTV, Home Theater, Speakers, etc.): BigPictureBigSound

I have mixed feelings about keeping those Pricegrabber links up on the site. We do bring in a little bit of income from those, but possibly at the expense of the more lucrative affiliate income. It's more to supplement the links on items that might not be for sale through our direct affiliates that we keep those up.

Anyway... thanks for trying. Can't expect our visitors to know the inner workings of how we monetize the site.

Enjoy the player!

-Chris
